Delivering Hope: A Medical Mission in Syria

Imagine a world where healthcare knows no borders. Between April 5th and 10th, 2025, the Nabulsi Family Foundation, in partnership with AHR, made it a reality in Syria!

Our medical mission was a game-changer, bringing vital care to those who need it most. With a focus on dental care, , orthopedics, and surgeries, pharmacy services, psychology, our team delivered more than just treatment – we improved lives and delivered hope.

As we reflect on this mission, we are reminded that healthcare isn’t just about healing bodies; it’s about restoring communities.

The need for medical care in Syria is staggering. Years of sanctions and conflict have left the healthcare system in shambles, and many Syrians have been forced to rely on makeshift medical facilities or go without care altogether.

A Team of Heroes

Our medical mission team was composed of dedicated healthcare professionals who volunteered their time and expertise to make a difference. From dentists and pharmacists to psychologists and surgeons, each member brought their unique skills and experience to the table.

Together, we worked tirelessly to provide comprehensive care to hundreds of patients.

The team faced numerous challenges, from navigating the complex logistics of delivering care in a conflict zone to overcoming language barriers with patients.

Despite these obstacles, the Nabulsi Family Foundation team remained committed to improving as many lives as possible.

Delivering Care

During our six-day mission, we provided a wide range of medical services, including:

– Orthopedic and other surgery: Our orthopedic team provided care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including surgeries and physical therapy. Our other surgeons performed procedures ranging from

from routine procedures like appendectomies to more complex operations like orthopedic repairs and life-saving cardiac procedures.

– Dental Care: Our dental team provided routine cleanings, fillings, and extractions, as well as more complex procedures like root canals and crowns.

– Pharmacy Services: We distributed essential medications to patients in need, including those with chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.

– Psychology: Our psychology team provided counseling and therapy services to patients struggling with mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

The Impact

The impact of our medical mission was profound.

Patients who had been living in pain or without access to essential care were finally able to receive the treatment they needed.

We saw patients who had been struggling to walk or perform daily tasks due to orthopedic injuries, and we saw the joy in their faces when they were able to take their first steps without pain.

One patient, a young girl named Fatima, had been living with a severe dental infection for months.

She was in constant pain and had difficulty eating or sleeping. Our dental team performed a root canal and provided her with antibiotics, and within days, she was feeling like herself again.

Restoring Communities

Our medical mission was more than just a series of medical procedures – it was a symbol of hope for the Syrian people. It showed them that they are not forgotten, that there are people who care about their well-being and are willing to take risks to help.

As we look back on this mission, we’re reminded of the power of compassion and collaboration.

Our team came together to provide care and support to those in need, and the results were nothing short of remarkable.

A Lasting Legacy

The Nabulsi Family Foundation’s medical mission in Syria will have a lasting impact on the lives of those we touched.

We’re proud to have been a part of this effort, and we’re grateful to everyone who made it possible.

From the healthcare professionals who volunteered their time to the patients who trusted us with their care, every single person played a crucial role in making this mission a success.
